Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 7, 2026

This policy explains which cookies and equivalent technologies (localStorage, pixels) Areia Score uses, what they are for, how long they last and how you control each category. It complements the Privacy Policy.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file the site stores in your browser to remember something between pages: that you are signed in, which theme you picked, whether you already answered the consent banner. We also use localStorage, which works the same way for what only needs to live on your device.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

Always active, because the site does not work without them. They do not depend on consent.

  • next-auth.session-token (cookie, up to 30 days): keeps you signed in.
  • next-auth.csrf-token (cookie, session): protects login forms against request forgery.
  • sftv_theme (localStorage, permanent): stores the light or dark theme you picked.
  • areia_cookie_consent_v1 (localStorage, permanent): stores your answer to the cookie banner so we do not ask again.
  • __stripe_mid / __stripe_sid (Stripe cookies, up to 1 year): checkout anti-fraud, created only when you open the payment screen.

3. Analytics and measurement cookies (optional)

Installed only after you click accept in the banner. Until then, no third-party script is loaded.

  • _ga (Google Analytics 4, up to 2 years): how many people visit, which pages they go through, where they come from.
  • _clck, _clsk (Microsoft Clarity, up to 1 year): heatmaps and anonymised session recordings, to find confusing screens.
  • ph_posthog (PostHog, up to 1 year): product funnel (who saw the paywall, who started checkout).
  • _fbp (Meta Pixel, up to 90 days): ad results measurement. The same event may also be sent server-side (Conversions API), always conditioned on consent.

4. How to withdraw or change your choice

You can change your mind at any time: clear the site data in your browser (cookies and site data) and the banner shows up again on your next visit, with both options. Rejecting does not block any Areia Score feature.

Browsers also let you block third-party cookies by default. If you do, the analytics cookies simply are not created.

5. Who operates these cookies

The necessary cookies are ours. The optional ones are operated by Google, Microsoft, PostHog and Meta, each with its own policy, listed in the Privacy Policy. Areia Score does not sell personal data and does not use cookies for advertising inside the site.
